Himdhara Environment Research and Action Collective is an autonomous non-registered collective of researcher-activists that came together in 2009 to extend support and solidarity to mountain communities in their efforts to protect their livelihoods and landscapes.

Key Areas of Support:

• Research, Documentation and Information Collection and dissemination : We conduct research, document issues and collect information about resource conflicts and environmental degradation.
• Support to Local Activists and Grassroots Organizations: We provide technical and legal support to local activists and grassroots organizations.
• Advocacy and Lobbying: We engage in direct advocacy and lobbying to implement policies and laws that protect natural resources.
• Networking and Capacity Building: We build networks and capacity within communities to empower them to protect their resources.
